Connecting Manychat

Get your website connected with Manychat in a couple of clicks.

Getting set up

Head over to your Manychat dashboard and select > settings > Apps

Adding your domain

To connect Manychat so that it speaks to your website, you need to add 2 things from your website to the Manychat application.

Go to your builder and select Settings > Domain

If you are using our free domain, for example, your website.sendly.co.uk be sure to copy the full URL including sendly.co.uk.

It's important to note that you don't require the www. section of the domain.

Once you have copied your domain, simply paste it in the tab within Manychat, as shown below.

Adding your API key

To ensure security and account verification your website's API Key is also required.

To find your API Key > Settings > Applications > reveal API Key

Now paste your API Key within Manychat. Once done click save and you are ready to go.

When going through the simple installation process, you will be asked to:

Merge Tags, Custom User Fields, Bot Fields and One Time Notification Topics.

We have already set up the custom fields required so you don't need to worry. But if you want to change the names then go ahead. Below is the list we provide.

Custom field description.

Below is what each custom field does.

  • Lead status : Stores contacts lead status "Array"

  • member_groups_id : Stores membership groups "Array"

  • member_id : The contacts membership number "Number"

  • membership_password : stores members password "Text"

  • sendly_contact_id : The contacts id number "Number"

  • sendly_registration_data : This date is when a contact signs up to a membership "Date/Time"

  • sso_access_url : Single sign-on, when allowing a member access to a membership page. This is the value that stores the SSO URL "Text"

  • subscriber_list_id : Stores the value of the email list attached to the contact "Array"

  • Tags : Stores CRM tag data ideal for retargeting users "Array"
